Today is my 5 year wedding anniversary. It was a magical day and I love reliving it each year on my blog and reconnecting with my husband on a date. The wedding details are lovely, the wedding planning is fun, but what really matters is the marriage and the love. In four years we’ve been through some stuff, had two babies (one just two weeks ago!), had successes and failures, had complete and total joy, and a few good fights, and through it all, we remember our vows every day (we had them put on a Paloma’s Nest heirloom bowl so we can always remember them):
I take you to be my spouse, my constant friend, and my love from this day forward.
I vow to be your faithful partner, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, in joy as well as sorrow.
I promise to love you unconditionally, to support you in your goals, and to cherish and respect you.
I will love and honor you all the days of my life.
happy anniversary to my one and only love. i wouldn’t want to go through this crazy, beautiful, tough, exhausting, wonderful thing called marriage, parenthood, and life with anyone else. thank you for staying with me through hormones and pregnancies, postpartum depression, highs and lows, and many many years. thank you for giving me two amazing boys. thank you for you. i love you. xx
