Do you plan a list of summer activities with your family? Since this is the last weekend of spring, now’s the time to sit down with your family and write a summer bucket list. Since baby #2 is due at the end of August, my family has a “Bucket List Before Baby” – basically our summer fun list that we started a little early (since we’re in Los Angeles and it’s summer all year anyways). Here are some of our activities to help you get started planning yours:
- Visit the Santa Monica Pier
- Feed the ducks at Franklin Canyon
- Go to jazz night at LACMA
- Beach day in Malibu
- Last Disneyland visit before our passes expire
- Visit the Endeavor at the California Science Center
- Take Charlie to see Chris Burden’s Metropolis at LACMA
- Visit the aquarium
- Find a place to have shave ice in LA
These are a few of our LA-specific activities. What are some things on your family summer fun bucket list? Do you make one? And you can follow ours on instagram under hashtag #bucketlistbeforebaby. Hashtag yours with #lovelysummerfun so I can follow along too!
And since summer is here, so is the time to give your kiddo’s teachers a gratitude gift. Charlie just finished his first year of preschool and his teachers have been so wonderful all year. They take care of him, hold his hand, kiss his boo boos, teach him to clean up, help him make gifts for mom and dad, clean up bathroom accidents, and have helped him grown and come such a long way this year. And even though there are 5 teachers and I don’t have the money to give them the elaborate gift of gratitude they deserve, I did want to show them my appreciation in a way I could manage. So I made these cute little succulent pots with a thank you message. Truth be told, I was originally going to paint the pots and create my own sign (the one I used can be found here), but since I have third trimester energy levels (read: none) this was the best I could manage. They loved them anyways.
What are your favorite teacher gratitude gift ideas?
And in case you missed my Momtastic posts this week, here they are:
Have a great weekend! xx
