I’m excited to share a DIY from an Oh Lovely Day reader and recent bride, Hannah from the Homesteady. This is the first of a series of DIY she’s going to share from her own wedding. First up, aDIY for vintage postcard save-the-dates. Enjoy!
Hi everyone! I’m Hannah from the Homesteady. I’m so excited to share a few of the DIY projects from my wedding with all of you, starting with our save-the-dates!
My wife and I love flea markets and thrift stores, and decided to bring that retro feel to the first piece of wedding correspondence our guests would receive. We bought vintage postcards from Ebay and local flea markets, and I hand-stamped our wedding info on the back. Kristie is from Virginia and I’m from Connecticut, but we met and currently live in Massachusetts, so we tried to find postcards from those three states—and a few that didn’t quite fit that mold, but we chose just because they were so beautiful!
We included the date and location of our upcoming wedding, along with the promise of more information. I used alphabet stamps from Inkadinkadoo (the original was discontinued; find a similar one here) and a bird stamp from Paper Source to add a little something extra!
