I had DIY drink stirs at my wedding, and it was one of my favorite little details.  We had our wedding monogram (which was on all of our paper goods) on one side, and quotes about indulging in cocktails on the other.  Some of the quotes we used were:

“Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk.  That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.”

“I drink therefore I am.”

“Beer is the cause and solution to all of life’s problems.”

“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”

Side note: I went to the lover.ly So Cal meet up last night and let me just say, OMG I’m super excited about lover.ly and what it will do for brides, vendors, and blogs.  It is basically a virtual wedding inspiration scrapbook that credits the photos and inspiration properly.  Genius!  Also, I got to meet some of my biggest inspirations in the wedding industry (the lovely ladies behind Kiss the Groom, Snippet & Ink, Weddingbee, and Inspired By This to name a few).  It was such a great night.  Plus, it was a much needed break from momma duties (which is why I nursed the same glass of wine the entire time…total lightweight!)  Definitely check out lover.ly.  I think the buzz is well deserved.
